Post the titles (and a brief review) of books you've personally found helpful and inspiring during your homeschooling/unschooling journey.

ALSO, post questions here about books you've heard were beneficial to homeschooling families and would like to know more about before purchasing.

If you are wanting to develop critical thinking skills in yoru homeschoolers, I highly recommend Raising Freethinkers, by Dale McGowan et al. Each chapter has many practical ideas and resources for the topics covered.

I also highly recommend books written by Caffi Cohen, if you believe your homeshcooler will want to attend college. If your child is 6th grade or older, it's time to think "college." Ms. Cohen's books can help you decide what "gaps" you need to focus on the last 6 years at home, how to prepare an honset, positive student porfile for admissions and scholarships, and more. Getting our homeschoolers into college and finding good scholarships is a game many of us don't automtically know how to play successfully.

Ms. Cohen's books helped my oldest two unschoolers not only get into the colleges of their choice, but to secure merit schoarships and get into Honors programs.
