As several of you are aware, we have unfortunately had individuals (or perhaps "bots") joining this forum whose sole purpose is to post and promote inappropriate and sexually explicit photos, websites, and text on this forum.  Since most of these inappropriate post have been appearing via our Introductions thread, I thought it would make sense to post this update here.

Tho I have figured out a way to stop these photos from being posted, to date I have had to ban nearly 20 members/bots(?) from our MI forum and remove numerous posts.

I had not wanted to set up a forum which would require approval for membership, but unfortunately this may be the route we have to take to stop these inappropriate and invasive posts.

Just wanted you all to know that I am aware of this problem and will continue to monitor the situation and look for alternative solutions to the problem.

Your thoughts and suggestions regarding this situation are welcome!

Unfortunately individuals and/or bots did continued to join this forum and expose our members to inappropriate posts  – which not only included sexual content/images and links to pornographic sites (not good when moms have kiddos sitting on their laps while reading/posting to this forum) but also many of the inappropriate posts were sales pitches/websites for prescription drugs.

I was spending a good portion of my time here deleting posts/banning such members, rather than being able to post pertinent information.  As such I have updated the requirement for membership to include a Forum Administrator's approval.

I apologize for the inconvenience, and hope our membership will appreciate this decision.
