Hazel Jones Memorial Homeschooling Scholarship Program

The Mothers Institute is pleased to announce the 2010 HJM Homeschooling Scholarship application process is now open. Three $100 Scholarships will be awarded to deserving homeschooling families.


All applicants must be affiliated with The Mothers Institute through one or more of the following methods: Membership in The Mothers Institute, Mothers Institute Moms Social Networking Site, Mothers Institute Moms Group at CafeMom and/or the Mothers for Liberty Yahoo Group.

The application process is open now though May 30, 2010. To qualify, the form must be received by The Mothers Institute no later than May 30th. Applications will be reviewed and recipients selected by The Mothers Institute Board of Directors. Those chosen to receive the scholarships will be notified in July 2010. Recipients will also be announced on The Mothers Institute website.


In honor of Hazel Jones,
The Mothers Institute is initiating a unique
Homeschooling Scholarship Program.

Hazel's life long love of learning, creating, and innovation
- coupled with her dedication to mothering and grandmothering -
are at the heart of The Mothers Institute.

Before her passing in January 2007,
Hazel - the Mother of MI's Founder and Director Jan Stover -
offered valuable input and gave her blessing to the idea of
The Mothers Institute and its mission.

Participating and enjoying her own grandchildren
during their homeschooling years,
Hazel proudly supported the idea of options in education.

The Mothers Institute Advisory Board
is in the process of developing application criteria
for homeschooling families wishing to be considered for this Scholarship.

To be a part of this unique opportunity to honor Hazel's life
and encourage homeschooling families, support the
Hazel Jones Memorial Homeschooling Scholarship Program
by joining the Institute and/or donating directly
to the Scholarship Program today.

10% of each Membership Package goes directly toward
funding this Scholarship Program.
